About me

Hi there!

It’s Amalaya. I’m glad to welcome you.

Make yourself comfortable and let’s get to
know each other better.

From an early age, I liked to grab a color pencil in my little left hand. When they taught me to write later at school, writing assignments never bothered me. Feelings and images in my mind converted either into writing, drawing, or painting.

As a teenager, I wanted to move into a rural area and learn traditional ceramics hand production, and painting. Few twists and turns and I found myself at a technical university. How come?

From making ceramics to bioengineering. How come?!

I’ve always been in awe of the human body’s complexity. Nature builds such elaborate, intricate systems! How does it all work and what makes these creatures alive? Big questions. I had to wait for answers a bit longer, though…

In the meantime, one of the perks of bioengineering studies was brewing my own beer!

Shortly after earning my master’s degree, I found myself working with the best team imaginable, with a boss that should be put on a pedestal and into managers’ booklets.

It was a great time. Yet, I must admit in hindsight, I worked loads, applying my chemical knowledge and wits.

I learned precious things by meeting customers, training sales guys, working with people generally. Being curious as I am, I also studied nutrition on the side.

The burnout and the somersault

I enjoyed my time in the corporate job until I – unoriginally – burned out.
Before I found holistic healing, I had to experience an unexpected somersault.

Not that I had any energy for acrobatics, mind you.

I like connecting dots in a new way. Take a step back, get a new perspective, bridge the logical, detailed with wholesome, holistic.

Within seven years of having the job as a main focal point and a very little lifestyle variety, I felt miserable. I’d lost all juice and sparkle.

I literally felt colorless.

Still, I’m very – and I mean very – determined when I find something that sits with me. When I found Yoga therapy and the world of Ayurveda and connection to Biomedicine, I was beyond excited. I moved to South East Asia to study these, returning to the great fascination of human body, mind and thinking processes, peoples’ spiritual aspirations.

From juice-less to writing

As I changed continents and lifestyle, traded business suits for flip-flops, along with my health creativity recovered as well. I began writing again. For myself, friends, and for a growing number of people.

Copywriting training strengthened this inclination and inspired ways to connect with you, on the other side of the screen.

Now, we could sit here until midnight, but that’s not the point.

Let me briefly give you a few more facets of me. I,

  • believe in people helping people,
  • get up early in the morning,
  • have an addiction to matcha green tea,
  • enjoy lively conversations and quiet meditations,
  • swim whenever possible.

And yes, I do love words. Written, spoken, all of them. I love stories.

Your business and your story matter

So tell me about yours. Tell me your stories, aspirations, and inspirations for your business. I do want to get to know you!

Your trust, your time, and the results you wish for your clients are greatly valued.

I am reliable, consistent and invest time in being thorough – to make sure I’ve got the best understanding, implement the best strategies, and deliver high quality.

Having said that, I also honor time for my holistic health consultation practice and time away from the keyboard – to have a balanced, well-rounded life.

As fruit needs time to sweeten, jobs need adequate effort to ripen (wink)
– this means killer deadlines are not preferable, but possible when my schedule allows.

Let’s connect and deliver your unique goodness to your audience!
